Your prime rib takes a journey. The destination… Perfection…

It starts as a whole USDA Prime ribeye loin, upon delivery we rub it down with our special prime rib seasoning and it's seared on our char-rock grill to seal in the juices and wrapped up to marinate in it's own juices.

For the day each loin then makes it's way into the our slow roaster, where it spends a minimum of 6 hours carefully creeping it's way to the minimum temperature, specifically timed to bring out that melt in your mouth tenderness that makes it famous.

Our prime rib is then hand cut to order, depending on your preference, it's cooked up to your desired temperature, rare - (red, warm in the middle), medium rare - (reddish / pink, warm throughout), medium - (light brown on the outside, pink in the middle, hot throughout), medium well - (less tender, less juicy, brown in the middle, hot throughout, grilled), well done - (tougher, drier, dark in the middle, hot throughout, grilled), you may also choose to have your prime rib blackened - (medium rare - well done) or Pittsburgh - (rare in the middle, blackened on the outside) *End cuts may be available, your server can ask our chef about size and temperatures available.

Hurley's is located in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, minutes from Cataloochee ski resort, Ghost Town in The Sky, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the quaint town of Maggie Valley. Founded in 2010, Julie Hurley (Sole Proprietor) started Hurley's to fill a void in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Hurley's provides a casual, family oriented dining experience, with a fine dining atmosphere, classical piano player in the evening, with candle lit tables, linens, exemplary service and amazing food. Hurley's quickly became famous for it's outstanding prime rib and subsequently voted #1 steakhouse in Maggie Valley shortly there after and every year since. Our staff is totally family driven, General manager Michael Hurley (Julie's oldest son) runs the bar and front of house operations and maintains Hurley's promotions. Mark Keclik, a true team player and our head chef, from day one, maintains the back of house operations as well as preparing and overseeing the production of every plate that leaves the kitchen.
